Southbound UP Manifest Train
Description:
Heading south at CP Charlie on the$BNSF Ft. Scott Sub. is UP Train MKCLI 27. You might also notice 8 of the first 10 cars are SP woodchip gondolas. UP recently started running some southbounds out of Kansas City via the west end of UP Neff Yard and down the KCT through the West Bottoms to the start of the Ft. Scott Sub. Typically, these trains out of Neff use the UP Coffeyville Sub. to Paola where the hop on the UP Parsons Sub. Other trains from the Kansas Side of the city have used this routing from 29th Street for years, but the trains meading down through the bottoms is something I have not seen before.
