For"whatever reason there was a lot of digging going on along the MN&S Subdivision near the 111th Street crossing. I remember walking in there as a kid and seeing rusty jndustrial sized barrels, perhaps left over from the MN&S, and perhaps they were cleaning up the soil. Nearby is a community dog park, so you can bring your dog and watch the PGR-CP interchange in action. |

Also known as Skunk Hollow. This is where the MN&S and Milwaukee Road used to interchange. CP still uses it for one or=two businesses, and every once in awhile TCW uses it to bring a locomotive to the Ziegler CAT shops in Bloomington. As part of the Southwest LRT project a new wye track will be built connectinf TCWs tracks with the MN&S Subdivision to allow easier access for TCW to the south. |
