Description:  Nice looking 1925 Alco-Richmond built Mountain type locomotive, class 501. Originally it was numbered 203 but immediately renumbered to 504. Specs - 73" drivers, 28x30" cylinders, 200 psi boiler pressure but (boosted later to 225 psi), engine weight of 381,000 lb, tractive effort of 61,619 lb. The four in the class lasted until 1950 when they were scrapped. W. M. Bryan photo
