| Album Info: | Conrail's contracted commuter operations for NJDOT out of South Amboy used former CNJ GP40P's, PC E-8A's, and GG1's from Conrail's startup until 1979 when NJ Transit took over. NJ Transit continued to use the former CNJ and PC units through late 1983, when the last GG1's were retired. This morning in July, 1977 had a pair of GP40P's waiting for assignment along with a number of E-8A's and a lone GG1. |
