Album Info:Here are ten builder's photos of Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives. Five of them were built at the Juniata Shops in Altoona, Pennsylvania; all of the others were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. These are official Pennsylvania Railroad photos that have been in my possession since 1969.

Description:  Here is a re-builder's photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1223, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as a D-16B during 1905, later rebuilt as a D-16SB, sold to the Strasburg Rail Road in October of 1960, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Photo taken on 11 June 1937.
