Album Info:Here is a four-page article entitled "Locomotives: Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines." It was published originally in the December 1941 issue of "Railroad" magazine, pages 56-59. No author is specified. "Extending southeastward out of Camden, N.J., the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines blanket the southern portion of the "Garden State" with 413 miles of closely interwoven routeage, incorporating numerous junctions, and having seaboard termini at Atlantic City, Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May." (Page 57)

Here's 6061, the System's last E3sd machine." #6061 is an E-3SD (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as an E-2A during 1905, rebuilt as an E-3SD in May of 1919, and retired in November of 1948. Bottom Photo Caption: "A tail wind drives steam from cylinder cocks before her as Number 6086 pulls out of Camden, N.J." #6086 is an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as PRR number "1708" during July of 1914, renumbered as PRSL "6086" in January of 1937, and retired in 1949.

Engine #6052 is a B-8A (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata as PRR number "201" during 1908, renumbered PRSL "6052" in August of 1915, and retired in 1937 after 29 years of faithful service. Notable here is a strip map depicting the PRSL's various routes.

Engine #6072 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as PRR number "3545" during November of 1913, renumbered PRSL "6072" in 1939, and renumbered PRR "9947" in 1949. Of special note, this locomotive was built with a Jacobs-Schubert firebox.

Photo Caption: "Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines Train Number 1073 (The Sea Plane) crosses New Jersey twice to connect New York with Atlantic City. Here, she's shown just after a change of engines at Trenton. Number 269, one of the Pennsylvania's big K-4's, has just taken the place of the GG-1 in the background." #269 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918 and retired in September of 1952 after 34 years of faithful service.
