Description: |
The feature attraction is the ATSF 940, the only survivor of 332 2-10-2 locomotives built for the Santa Fe Railway. (Also, sorry the shot is upside down. It's right-side up on my computer, but this site always shows the photo with the left side of my phone as the bottom, and apparently it was upside down on this shot.) |

Santa Fe 940 |
Description: |
Donated to Bartlesville in 1956, the engine was put on display at Johnstone Park, but flooding from the Caney River damaged it now and then, and it was inaccesible to visitors. In 2008, a group of citizens (including Julie Daniels, the current state senator) decided to move it next to the depot to make it more accessible to visitors. Work was done in December of 2009, and a video can be seen here: http://bartlesvillelocomotive.org/atsf-locomotive-no-940/ |
