Description:  Sitting in what appears to be a storage/scrap line is this Alco-Manchester 0-6-0 yard switcher #240 built sometime between 1903-1910. Specs - G-10 class, 52" drivers, modest 160 psi boiler pressure, 19x24" cylinders, engine weight of 127,800 lb, The G-10 class was retired by December of 1948 although some were sold to M&WR. B&C and others. No exact month or day was given for the photo but it was taken by L.P. Cimwall (?).

Description:  Running with just a caboose and boxcar, BM 0-6-0 #438 are running at an unidentified location. Built by Alco-Brooks in 1916, the last of the the yard switchers in this class G-11b were gone by July of 1955. Not bad for 39 years of service.
