Here is page one of a two-page camera study that was published originally in the September 1968 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 38. This photo was taken by Don Wood at the Northumberland Roundhouse on Monday, 13 May 1968. Partially visible here (L to R) are three former Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives that were eventually transferred to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg: #94, #7688, and #2846. #94 is an A-5S (0-4-0) switcher built in Juniata during January of 1917. #7688 is an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Lima Locomotive Works in September of 1915. And #2846 is an H-6SB (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-6B during November of 1905 and rebuilt in Juniata as an H-6SB in November of 1913. |

This photo was taken by Don Wood at the Northumberland Roundhouse on Monday, 13 May 1968. Partially visible here is former Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotive #460 that will soon be transferred to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. #460 is an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata during August of 1914. It's the "Lindbergh Locomotive." |
