The sop grounds were decommissioned by Southern RY in the mid 1970's and was donated to the State of North Carolina to become a transportation museum . Over the past 45+ years the North Carolina Transportation Museum has gather an impressive collection of locomotives, freight & passenger cars, automobiles, and trucks. |
