Description:  Passengers in Amtrak dome-buffet-lounge car 9372 enjoy the scenery as the eastbound San Francisco Zephyr winds along the Truckee River. AMTK 9372 was ex-SP 3603, rebuilt as a dome buffet lounge in 1955 from SP counter-tavern car 10310, originally n Pullman-Standard car from the 1937 Daylight. After leaving Amtrak service the car spent time in Florida as an ice cream parlor and as part of a railroad-theme restaurant. Believe the car ahead of it is the "Limona" which was ex-D&RGW 1250, nee-C&O 1877, built by Budd in 1948 for thg "Chessie" streamliner that never was, with a rear diaphragm applied by D&RGW for mid train use as a lounge car.
