Description:  An old Chessie box car leads this this trio of cars in storage between two of the buildings. The white rings on the left are some of 4070's retired 63" Driver tires. This was the last shot I took before leaving. Thanks again to Chuck at MRPS for a fantastic tour! It made up for not being able to see 4070.

Description:  A northbound NS Autorack train rolls past the East Cleveland crossover on its way to the Chicago line. The University Circle RTA Station is visable in the background. I auctually had three trains going by here. In addition to this train and CSX Q366 (on the right), an RTA train headed for downtown Cleveland pulled by on their line just after I took this. I didn't get a shot of the RTA train though, due to the fact that this train had a Conrail C39-8 as a trailing unit.

Description:  Amtrak's Lakeshore Limited accelerates east under the signal bridge at CP-180 on the Chicago line, shortly after departing the Cleveland Station. Since the Conrail split, only Amtrak 48 and 49 have used this section of track between downtown Cleveland and Collinwood yard. 48's new schedule allows daylight photography during the summer months.

Big Trestle

Description:  This is by far the biggest railroad bridge/trestle that I have gotten to see in my life. It's called the Marcy Trestle, and carries CSX's Short-Line Subdivision high above a remnant of the Ohio and Erie canal, now a part of the Cleveland Metropark system.

Description:  On our last trip to Cleveland, while driving through the flats region of the city, we came across the appropriately named Flats Industrial Railroad. From the looks of it, they have two EMD switchers for power: this one, and sister 1202, which was sitting on a spur nearby. The #12 is seen here sitting next to a tower by a lift bridge.
