Viewing Album:  On the Y at Silverton

Album Info:On the 23rd of May we took the 9am train (the 2nd of the day) from Durango for Silverton. It was cold day with occasional rain at lower elevations and snow at higher. At Silverton between moderate to heavy snow showers I shot this sequence of our train coming off the Y just south of the Silverton Station. The pass to Silverton was closed the following evening because of over a foot of snow. The next day, the 24th, the D&SNG left on schedule despite the condition on the highway.
