Second in a line
Title:  Second in a line
Description:  CSX 5303 leads another van train west, I believe he was calling himself Q169. 5 units, 60 mph; with an approach signal up for an eastbound that was following a manifest that snuck by us while Q119 came west.

They just keep coming
Title:  They just keep coming
Description:  A mix of domestic stacks and trailers comes west through CP308, with a clear signal on Track 2. The light was disappearing under approaching lake-effect snow bands.

Here comes the snow
Title:  Here comes the snow
Description:  Lake-effect snow comes and goes in bands - here, Amtrak train #63, the westbound Maple Leaf, flies through CP308 at close to 80 miles per hour as the snow starts in earnest. Cold northwest winds and warm great lakes have led to near-record snows for December 2010 across the 'snow belt' in upstate New York.
