Album Info:Pictures of two engines and a few other things in Chillicothe, MO. The date is frankly a guess because I've driven by this area numerous times from 2000-2005. I've always wished I could have seen these units in action! They look good, regardless.

CBRM 4485, engineer's side
Title:  CBRM 4485, engineer's side
Description:  This view shows the "torpedo-boat" style where the air tanks are mounted on top of the long hood. This engine does have an added "box" at the rear, as this engine used to be in C&NW commuter service. Model Railroader magazine had a feature, back in the early '80's, IIRC, about how to model this unit, or one very similar, from C&NW days.

Loading dock or team track at Chillicothe, MO
Title:  Loading dock or team track at Chillicothe, MO
Description:  The tracks are gone but there is still a loading dock at Chillicothe, MO. Take a look at the wood used in construction: these timbers look almost as big as cross ties! This would be an easy project for a model railroad: real wood strips for the deck and wood or plaster for the supports. Add a siding and you're ready for business.

Covered hopper at a Chillicothe, MO business
Title:  Covered hopper at a Chillicothe, MO business
Description:  I couldn't tell who owned this covered hopper, nor its number, and I don't even remember the name of this business. This, too, could be an easy model railroading project: blank brick walls for the end (excepting a couple of doors and/or windows) and larger brick or block of another (gray?) color for contrast.
