Description:  East Altoona. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide (converted to B&W) by an unidentified photographer that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 26 August 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3600, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during March of 1917 and retired in August of 1959 after 42 years of faithful service. William P.
