Title:  PRR 4-6-2 #1533 - Pennsylvania RR
Description:  Here is a PRR Pacific loco built in the PRR Juniata shops in 1918. The photo had a lengthy personal note on the back - "Culver, IN. Dear Dad, As you know, have inherited the old South Bend Branch and have been to So, Bend, Lakeville, La Paz Jct, Hibbard and am now here at Culver. Been thinking about you all day & here is the old train you used to run. Wish you were along, Love, Tom" The author is referring to the South Bend Branch that was originally part of the Vandalia RR, then Pennsylvania RR. Under Penn Central and Conrail, the line was eventually abandoned between South Bend and Logansport. It used to carry large shipments of Studebaker automobiles from South Bend and was famous for its doodlebug passenger service. Specifics - K-4s class, tall 80" drivers, 205 psi boiler pressure, 27x28" cylinders, engine weight of 304,500 lb, tractive effort of 44,460 lb. No actual date or photographer was listed so an approximate date was used.
