WATCo's WSOR - Not too shabby! |
Description: |
Although changes away from the Gardner era continue as WATCo accelerates its relettering and renumbering of the WSOR roster into its own (3869 and 3871 were 3810 and 3812, respectively), the red and gray still reigns supreme. 3871 was even given a modified version of the scheme in place of its ratty old NdM blue when it was renumbered. |

WAMX 3894, WAMX 3869 and WAMX 3870 |
Description: |
WSOR train idles away on former MILW rails near the intersection of Hwy. 91 and Clairville Rd. at Town of Algoma, Winnebago Co., WI on 3 Mar. '18. The station sign says Oshkosh, but the northeast quadrant of this crossroads remains a small, isolated remnant of the Town of Algoma. It is bordered on west, north, and east by Oshkosh, and bordered on the south by the Town of Nekimi. The Oshkosh boundary is about 1,500 feet northeast of the station sign. Train had three locomotives, WAMX 3894, WAMX 3869 and WAMX 3870. I was surprised to find this train here. I was even more surprised to see it still sitting here the following day. The community of Fitzgerald used to be located at this crossroads. |
