Camden. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Camden, New Jersey, c. 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1920 and another locomotive whose road number is not recorded. #1920 is an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8SB during August of 1912, later rebuilt as an H-9S, and retired in April of 1958 after 46 years of faithful service. Visible in the distance is the concrete Coaling Tipple. ("Stoneborobranch"; #48 of 69) |
