Built by Baldwin in April of 1913 as Oregon RR & Navigation 0-6-0 #46 (serial #39639, it was absorbed into the UP roster in 1915 as UP #4919. The loco served faithfully for nearly 40 years before being scrapped in December of 1953. Specs - class S-2, 51" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 19x26" cylinders, modest engine weight of 140,000 lb, modest tractive effort of 27,376 lb. An unknown photogrpaher took this roster shot of the loco while it was at rest in a Seattle, Washington yard. |
