Built by Baldwin in September of 1900, MILW 4-6-0 #1107 started out as CMStP Vauclain compound 4-6-0 ten wheeler #311. It went through many numbers during its long life - renumbered in 12/1906 to CMStP #1611, renumbered in 3/1913 to CMStP #4211, simplified & renumbered in 4/1926 to CMStP #2768 and finally renumbered in 7/1938 to CMStP&P #1107. After nearly 50 years of service, the loco was scrapped in June of 1950. Simplfied specs - 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x26" cylinders, engine wt of 187,600 lb, tractive effort of 31,004 lb and superheated. No photographer was listed for the photo and no exact day in 1947 was given. |
