RDG 4-6-0C #615 - Reading Co
Title:  RDG 4-6-0C #615 - Reading Co
Description:  Action shot of the 1915 4-6-0C ten wheeler camelback being prepped by a crew member for another passenger run. Built by the Reading shops, it was a class L-7 camelback, an odd but still interesting locomotive that allowed the Reading to burn less fuel efficient coal than the traditional locomotives. This appears to be an older reprint and didn't list the location, date or photographer.

Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-0 Class K-2 659 at Peoria, Illinois on an unknown day in October 1925, photograph by Paul Ellenberger, print by Don Gruber, Chuck Zeiler collection. The CB&Q had ordered 55 4-6-0 locomotives from the newly organized Grant Locomotive Works of Cicero, Illinois in 1893, however, only three were completed before a strike at the Works suspended locomotive production. The CB&Q cancelled the rest of the order and continued the order at the railroad's own shops. Number 659 was completed by the Havelock, Nebraska shops in 1985 as Burlington & Missouri River number 6, renumbered in 1904 to CB&Q 659 and classed as K-2, retired in October 1946.
