DRI 0-6-0 #50 - Davenport, Rock Island, & North Western Rwy |
Description: |
Tentatively identified as a 1910 Alco-Brooks built switcher, this little powerhouse sits ready to roll with a crew member lounging by the fireman's window. Note on the back stating "45 miles long" seems to refer to the length of the DRI short line in 1940. No photogrpaher identified. |

This 1904 Cooke Locomotive Works unit was a B5 class switcher, here sitting in an unknown yard on an unknown date. Faint smoke from its stack indicates a fire still burns inside. |
