If I read the back ground properly the train is headed west. There’s a velocipede on the platform and it looks like some of the passengers are looking under the deck, perhaps someone’s cat has taken a hike... ? #139 built by the Rhode Island Works in 1891 was scrapped in June of 1914. Cyl 19x26 with 56 /1/2 inch drivers. Builders # 2616 according to RR History #152. /DL

Description:  Somehow a 1906 Alco 2-6-0 Mogul built for the Isthmian Canal construction ended up at the Eureka Sprints & Northern Arkansas tourist railroad. Unfortunately the loco is no longer running having been sidelined in early 2000's due to boiler rebuild requiements. Does anyone know the disposition of the loco now? It is not listed on their webiste being on active duty. The photographer who took this was listed only as "Jones".
