With the exception of 1930 (boiler explosion), all retired August 1949 to August 1950. Date and location are unknown. no photographer listed either.

Although it's 1941, this loco's vender still carries the "C&EI" marking, not the loco number which was done sometime during 1941. Built by Alco-Schenectady in 1918, it's a fine looking Mikado. This 1918 Alco-Schenectady built 2-8-2 Mikado came to a tragic end on January 4, 1940 when it blew up and was scrapped a month later. This was the only class N-2 member not to reach retirement in 1949-50. Specs - class N-2, 63" drvers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,779 lb.
