WAB 2-8-2 #2264 - Wabash RR |
Description: |
This 1923 Alco-Schenectady built Mikado has what I call a Wabash loco look to it. Massive, powerful and ready to roll through the Midwest on 64" drivers powered by 200 psi boiler pressure. No date or location was listed for this Forrest Trittenbach photo. |

WAB 2-8-2 #2267 - Wabash RR |
Description: |
A sister to the other K-3 Mikado in this album, this Mikado was also built by Alco-Schenectady in 1923 and was also a class K-3. It had the 64" drivers and developed the 200 psi like its sister. A good looking locomotive some 30 years after being built but soon to be "released from service" as Wabash put it. This is a Ray W. Buhrmaster photo. |

WAB 2-8-2 #2718 - Wabash RR |
Description: |
Here's another Alco-Schenectady built Mikado like a its sisters in the album but this one was built in 1925 as a K-4b class. Still had the 64" drivers and 210 psi. No location or date was listed on the photo so both are approximate. A Forrest Trittenbach photo. |
