| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad E7 9933B westbound at Naperville, Illinois on April 28, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in March 1949 (c/n 6505), this locomotive became BN 9915 on March 2, 1970 and was sold for scrap on November 4, 1970. I've marked the slide that this was Train Number 17, the California Zephyr. Generally speaking, the CZ did not have this much head end equipment, usually just a single stainless steel baggage car, so I assume the heavyweight baggage cars is a special move of some sort. |
