Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad class PMC (Passenger Motor Car) 9770 at Lincoln, Nebraska on an unknown day in July, 1965, photo by Dick Rumbolz, Chuck Zeiler collection. This was one of four PMC's ordered by the CB&Q in 1930 from Pullman, powered by EMC. Originally built as gas-electric's, the four PMC's were numbered 9767-9770. This particular PMC was converted to diesel-electric, date unknown, using a 400 horsepower diesel prime mover supplied by Electro-Motive Corporation. It was sold for scrap during August 1966. |
