Hard to believe Steve no comments on this very interesting photo. There is so much in it. Not only a unique angle, but notice the C&H Sugar hopper next to a Feather River Route 50 ft box. The pot signals with armstrong piping still functional are the frosting on the cake.

Note that the short airslide is not lettered for C&H Sugar (California & Hawaiian), but rather the old U&I (Utah & Idaho) Sugar Company. C&H produced cane sugar, but U&I produced sugar from sugar beets. U&I produced sugar in Utah, Idaho, central Washington and plants in Canada and Chinook, Montana, on the GN/BN. U&I ceased sugar production in '79.

Dan,thanks for the heads up on the U&I airslide. Don't know why I was thinking C&H. It is a great photo however.
