According to the Winter 2009 issue of the First And Fastest (F&F), the publication of the Shore Line Interurban Historical Society, IRM has former C&NW 9933. Here is an excerpt from that issue: Strong statements were made that this was ex-C&NW 9934, which, after a trip through the Chessie System, became MBTA 10. Joe Reuter, IRM's long-time comptroller, took exception. He just as strongly believed this was ex-C&NW 9933 because of the configuration of the pilot on one end of the car. Joe Reuter, Barbara Lanphier and Phil Stepek have crawled under the car to read the builder's number that was stamped on the underframe. They also made a tracing of the builder's plate. Guess what folks? MBTA 10 is the ex-9933, contrary to every roster that has been printed since the 1960's. Apparently, Chesapeake & Ohio clerks transposed car numbers when the cars were rebuilt by the C&O. Our friends at the North Shore Scenic Railroad agree that their RDC is ex-C&NW 9934. In the Summer 2009 issue of F&F, the following was noted: Referred to as the 'three-car train', on the C&NW, while independent units, they were always together with RDC2 9935 on the west or north end of the set and the two RDC1's following. This was further reinforced by the fact that there was a pilot only on the north end of 9935 and on the south end of 9933.
