this locomotive looks almost like the locomotive sweden did bought to use on fifties and it got the name T 42 and was a collaboration with general motors ( Demonstrationslok with U.S. moves In the early 1950s tried American General Motors to enter the European market with its diesel locomotives. One way was to make demonstration runs and on ways to convince potential buyers of the locomotives excellence. Just for this purpose built General Motors a locomotive in the mid -1950s, toured in several European countries, including Sweden , where SJ took such a liking to the locomotive that you purchased it in 1956 . Contamination The locomotive that received literature T42 SJ had a longer and a shorter hood and in between the cab. The cab had the same height as the hoods and the visibility was limited , much like a steam train . When SJ ordered the T41 locomotives that were built under license by GM's Swedish associate Nohab made ??because the cab higher than the rest of the locomotiv
