Wasn't the Atlantic Central paint job for a film? Or am I thinking of something else....?

It was used in the movie "Coal Miner's Daughter", Gregg - perhaps you are right that it was painted for the film. As far as I know "Atlantic Central" is a fictitious railroad...

The Atlantic Central was the name of the group that owned it. They had no track, they had a steam engine and a lot of ambition. It was the Atlantic Central group who provided this engine to the Southern Railway for their steam program.
