In January 1960, the ATSF & PRR gained joint control (half interests) of the TP&W. When Conrail was created in 1976, the TP&W acquired the former PRR trackage from Effner into Logansport. In 1979, the AT&SF reached agreement to acquire the former PRR's interest in TP&W. The TP&W was merged into AT&SF on December 31, 1983. That lasted until February 3, 1989 when the former TP&W was sold to new investors and the TP&W name was reused. |
