BN SW1200 179         
BN SW1200 179 at Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 23, 1984, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Number 179 was built in March 1955 as NP 120 (c/n 20329) on EMD Order 4290, and became BN 179 some time after the merger. At some point it was converted to power Electric Trailer 2, former NP Baldwin VO-660 number 650, rebuild completed in May 1960 by NP's South Tacoma Shops. Note the "skate" radio antenna above the headlight.

Mark Carron General Correct Frame Number is 4291-2. The 11 SW1200's that NP purchased in 1955 were bought on four orders: 4290 (127, 128, 129); 4291 (119, 120, 121); 4292 (122, 123, 124, 125); and 4293 (126) 6/1/2020 8:18:17 PM
