Jeremy Harris General This was not the PRR but the NYC, originally E&I Main to Evansville. This track is out of service slated for abandonment. It once went to a paper company on the south side of town, which is now torn down. At one time there were many industires along this track, one by one they disappeared! 1/6/2011 7:24:28 PM
David Harding General Graham Grain used it on the south end to access the CSX (Ex C&EI) at Springhill. On the east side of the former junction with the Milw. and C&EI this line went as far east as Riley were a new alingment went north to serve a shuttered coal mine. This line is long gone from east of Riley, Cory, Clay City, Coal City down to Worthingington where it jions up with the former PRR line (Now ISRR) from Indy to Evansville. From south of Worthington to Elnora it's abandonded as well. At ELnora, the ISRR returns to this line after using trackage rights ovet the INRD from Beehunter to Elnora for the trip south to Evansvile. 2/8/2012 11:23:05 PM
