Wow! Been a few changes at this location. I didn't realize the connection track, diamonds and depot were still in place there in 1981.

CSX abandoned the Line in mid 1985. The section from Callahan to Gross was left without a purpose after the Everett Sub was downgraded that same year. I visited Callahan in April 1986 and the connection Track had just been removed. Yes, it is very different there today.

Can you imagine 175 or 176 just sailing around the connection track here as the Train was coming off or going onto the old SAL route. I never saw it but my Brother did. I wish the S line hadn't been abandoned. Hope to see more Pictures of it here...neat Bernie!!!
