Varous Shots of the Louisville and Wadley RR in South Georgia
By the time the pictures were taken in this album somewhere in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the LW still represented an operational railroad with leased Southern Railway SW power and car storage. The railroad now exists as a short lead off the ex CofGA main and lends its reporting marks to a large railcar leasing entity more than as an operating railroad

Ben Scanlon General i believe it's not a CofG unit but an ex G&F (Georgia & Florida) loco. it is MU equipped as these units were used to work the Greenwood SC extension of the G&F. 3/14/2011 12:54:02 PM
Ben Scanlon General i believe it's not a CofG unit but an ex-Georgia & Florida RR unit, with m.u. as these were equipped to work the G&F's rather lightly tracked Greenwood, SC extension. 3/14/2011 12:55:37 PM

David Barrentine General Very nice. Isn't this locomotive still up there in the woods? If it is I wouldn't mind going up there and see it for myself. 6/22/2011 3:53:38 PM
