Seaboard Coast Line caboose #00866 brings up the rear of the Hamlet section of train #214. The Atlanta section is to the left of 866 and has Georgia Railroad #2871 trailing         
Train #214 orginated in New Orleans and contained traffic for Hamlet, NC. As per standard practice, the train was normally double-cabbed with the trailing section clearing Montgomery's Chester Yard of Atlanta bound cars. Once in Atlanta, the cut would be made between 866 and the trailing insulated box car, and, after a brake test, 214 would resume its journey to Hamlet
