THIS TRACK WRAPS AROUND THE BACK OF THE PROPERTY TO ENTER THE BUILDING FROM THE SOUTH. THIS TRACK WAS INSTALLED IN THE 1970S AND THE RUSHVILLE BRANCH, WHICH HAD THE ORIGINAL SIDINGS, WERE SOLD TO THE INDIANA HI-RAIL. DURING WORLD WAR 2 MY GRANDFATHER WORKED HERE WHILE MY FATHER AND UNCLE WERE IN THE PACIFIC. CHRYSLER GAVE EMPLOYEES THE LAND YOU SEE TO HAVE VICTORY GARDENS IF THEY WISHED. AT THAT TIME THIS ENTIRE AREA WAS GARDENED BY WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AT THE PLANT |
