A duo of rebuilt GP35-3s working for the SWP railroad on a general freight train in Connellsville. WE 111 was acquired by the Wheeling and Lake Erie in 1997 and rebuilt to a GP35-3 in May 2010. Built as DRGW 3045 in January 1965. has the name W.J. Holtman on the hood. He was president of the Denver Rio Grande and Western Railroad in the 1980s. Many former executives from the DRGW are now on the W&LE. Also before this was painted last year it still had Rio Grande on the side. WE 105 was acquired by the Wheeling and Lake Erie in 1990 and rebuilt to a GP35-3 in August 2001. Built as Southern 2655 in January 1965. |
