| Pioneer was contracted in 2010 to operate the new rail line to the Pemiscott County Port located on the Mississippi River north of Caruthersville MO. The route uses new tracks re-laid over part of the former Frisco Hayti to Caruthersville branch before peeling off for the Port. The effort to build a rail connection took over 20 years to complete. From looks of things it isn't very busy- there were no cars present during this visit. |
