I discovered railroading just after one could still see F-units in action. I sure wouldve liked to see this guy on the road.

Dan Brown General Ol #49 was a real roadwarrior she was kept on the roster until 1984 i can remember seeing this old baby running in northern maine all the time! she led many trains out of Oakfield and up over summit in the late 70's and early 80's she was even rebuilt in 1973 after a real bad wreck it had most of the internal works out of Bl2 # 53 the other locomotive that was totally destroyed in the same sep 1972 wreck 6/19/2012 9:47:30 PM
