S&RL Yard at MP18
Well up until 1971, when it burned, there was a 10 stall round house in front of the still standing shop. The building extended off to the left with a turn table at the left edge of this photo. The camera, looking north. The track headed off beyond the station and crossed the railroads namesake river a few hundred feet beyond the tree line. Behind the camera the main line extended 18 miles to Farmington and its Maine Central standard guage connection with the rest of the world. /DL
