ATSF 8004         
OKLAHOMA CITY OK February 1974 -- Santa Fe U30CG 8004 hauls a mixed freight under Interstate 35 on its westward trek (compass south) to Texas. EMD built the unit as passenger locomotive ATSF 404 and delivered it in Nov 1967. It was derated to freight service in April 1969. In the 1969-70 general renumbering it became ATSF 8004. It received freight paint in 1973, was retired Sept 22 1980 and traded to GE for the B36-7 series. (Roster information from atsfrr.net)
