OAKRIDGE OR Oct 31 1978 -- Not really an action shot but what the heck. Southern Pacific SD45 8963 and its mixed freight are tied down in tjis aentral Oregon town. EMD built the locomotive (b/n 33660) in May 1968. It was rebuilt in Sacramento to SD45R 7499 in March 1984 as part of the M-99 Program. It was retired by Union Pacific June 18 2001. It was acquired by Ohio Central System, still in SP paint, as OHCR 7499. It eventually gained Ohio Centrals distinctive paint scheme.
