Jonathan Hinely General Nice picture, how did you get a ride with them. As that looks fun 3/29/2012 8:04:57 PM
Moss Miller General Jonathan, my family is a member of the Greenville Chapter NRHS (now Greenville Chapter, RHA). Steve Hawkins, owner of the railway is also a member of our club, so we have our annual spring picnic on his railway. He always takes everyone that wants to on a train ride on his caboose. That day, he was going on a local run to drop off some cars at Belton scrap metal and drop off some cars at the CSX interchange, so he coupled the caboose to it and took us along for the ride. I asked him if me and my brother could ride in the cab and he graciously said yes. We rode half of the trip on the GP9 and the rest on the caboose. It's a day I will never forget! 3/29/2012 9:08:36 PM
Geneva Short General That's great that you could get a ride, and extra great of you to share that experience with us! Thank you! 3/29/2012 11:05:26 PM
Moss Miller General Thanks for the compliments! I've got a whole bunch more photos from that memorable day coming so keep an eye peeled! 3/30/2012 8:23:24 AM
George Sillett General Great pictures, and thanks for the inside look. I still remember my short, but memorable cab ride in an SW1500 a few years back. Sadily I didn't have my camera with me. 3/30/2012 9:55:44 AM
George Sillett General Great Picture, and that is one great paint job. 3/30/2012 9:56:14 AM
