| Union LJL 41 Local crosses over busy Geneva Road to pick up some cars off the Hardy Spur. This location is known as Hardy in the UP Timetables, This line was Union Pacific's Provo-Salt Lake City Mainline until 1985. That same year,UP obtained trackage rights on the Rio Grande Mainline to the west. Union Pacific kept the line as a through route in the late 1980's when Rio Grande would close it's own line due to work windows on it's own line. In 1993,UP sold the line north of Mount to the Utah Transit Authority for it's TRAX Operations. |
