| Union Pacifics daily unit train of rock, shipped from a quarry at Beaumont, California, to a facility in Gardena (between Los Angeles and Long Beach) passes through the under-construction overpass for Riversides Iowa Avenue grade crossing elimination. An advantage of DPU is the this train never has to turn or have its power run around to the other end, as it has an ES44AC (or C45ACCTE in UP parlance) on each end: 7662 up front, and 7690 on the rear eastbound, and the opposite westbound. |
