CPRR 63, Leviathan, looking eastward  Contributor's Pick!
CPRR 63, called Leviathan, faces east towards Rock Island, IL during Train Fest 2011. This view is angled to show the front of the engine, with the ornate headlight and bracket, brass dome, whistle, bell, and so forth. A beautiful engine. Many engines like this (thousands?) were built, but only a few survive, and they'll always remind us of railroading's early days. Thanks to everyone who brought this engine to the Quad Cities that we might enjoy these memories.
