Probably the finest little rail park I've ever seen; the small northwest Vermont village of Swanton has built this park around the point where the StJ&LC and CV met. The former roundhouse site is obvious with both turntable and inspection pits highlighted. The depot and a caboose have been moved in and lovingly restored as well. This place is a real gem. Swanton was the west end of the StJ&LC's 96 mile line; NECR's former CV line runs in the background. |
